Arnot Peak

On the drive up to Highland Lakes (see: Folger Peak), when you first come around the corner and hit that first lake, there'll be a trailhead immediately on your left. This trail sneaks around the end of the long, low ridge coming off Hiram which contains the lakes on the south side. After skirting the end of this ridge, you get to a "Y": left to Lower Gardner Meadow, right to Upper Gardner Meadow. My preference is to cross country due east and a little south to get to Half Moon Lake.
Arnot's west face of the north ridge from Half Moon Lake.

Skirt the north end of the lake, avoid the marshy back bay, and attain the wide bench running under the brooding face in the picture above. This face is but the west face of the north ridge of Arnot (pronounced: R-know). You've got a ways to go, yet. Follow the bench south underneath this face. It eventually forms a creek fast heading to the southern terminus of said ridge. Bail out of this creek and onto the open face (southward) to "summit" the furthest south high point—the south end of this wicked ridge. Hint: Don't actually summit this nubbin; rather, continue sliding around to the south and into the saddle which appears behind it. Swoop through the saddle and up the ridge (not bad) to the summit.
Follow the bench around the corner to the saddle.
Swoop up the ridge to the summit of Arnot.
