Start at the top of Avalanche Road in Bear Valley. You can see the 4x4 trail start at the cul-de-sac at the end of Avalanche Road. Goes up past the water tower up to western edge of Bloods Ridge. Very short climb, about 5 minutes. From here, there is a nice hike path that goes past the cable TV antenna shown in pics below. The trail apparently takes you to the ski area by way Bloods Ridge as it works towards the ski area.
