Bull Run Lake is a nice day hike. The trailhead is located at Stanislaus Meadows about 4 miles past Lake Alpine on Hwy 4 (just a bit past "The Horn"). It starts off flat, through the meadows, and then starts to climb. The trail crosses several tributary streams to the Stanislaus River. Bring a lunch and enjoy an afternoon around a beautiful, mountain lake setting that is typical of the Sierras. |
