Same as the Bear Valley town to Bear Valley ski area short walking hike. Starts at the top of Flynn Road in Bear Valley and takes you to a parking lot behind Koala chair of the ski area. Possibly by a 4x4 or dirt bike as of Nov 2005. Pretty easy stuff, though there are some rocky sections to go slow on.
There is also a downed tree that has disintegrated into bark chunks, and is passable by 4x4. The hike takes about 1 hour, by motorcycle I have made it in ten minutes. Possibly a nice way to get to the ski area by snowmobile? You could, the snowmobile ride takes about 10 minutes as well. But to be useful you'd want to ride all the way to the top of Koala chair ... I think the resort people might take exception to that. You could leave your snowmobile at the end of the trail and take a short hike up the hill to Koala.
