Lake Alpine and Inspiration Point

In the picture on the left, the trail follows the shoreline of Lake Alpine from left to right, attains the ridge at the right edge of the photo, then follows the right skyline. Begin at the Pine Martin/Silver Valley campground complex at the east end of Lake Alpine. It's only about 2 miles one-way, with the only problem being a little skritching [alt., skritchitting] up near the top on the loose volcanic material. The view is astounding!
