Kayaking is one of the great things to do in this area. Kayaks may be rented from either the Bear Valley Adventure Company or up at Lake Alpine. The Adventure Company has all the noodles and tie-downs for a trip out to Spicer or Union/Utica. Whitewater kayaking is more desperate, obviously. The North Fork of the Stanislaus has some Class 5 sections. I'll get the www's on OARS, Zephyr and the rest of the guide services in a sec.
