Monte Carlo Night with be Saturday, March 8th, 2008. Proceeds go to the Bear Valley Search & Rescue. This, generally, is how it works: nicely felted blackjack tables are set up throughout the Catherdral Lounge in the Lodge; you buy a bag of chips if you're an optomist, two if you're like me... snap up your height in raffle tickets for a nominal sum; then, have a blast. This event is what's commonly referred to as a "hoot": low pressure, wager $500,000.00 on one hand kinda goofy. They have some really nice prizes donated from various businesses up and down the Highway 4 corridor; but, I dare say, the idea is to lose.
