Fri Feb 23. Conditions yesterday afternoon and this morning were best in the five years that I have visited BV. Fluffy weightless powder, thigh deep in spots. I got to the lifts at 9am, and there were so many tracks already... Ski Patrol getting their cut first? Nonetheless, there was plenty of good times to be had. This morning heading up Kuma at 0900 you could hear the genuine hooping and hollering echoing all around the mountain... people were stoked! What a perfect day, especially after the snow draught of the past many weeks.
Of course, BVMR management continues to make strange decisions. After letting someone make fresh tracks on Porridge Bowl, 'they' decided that this perfect ski time was a perfect oppty to shut down a great powder run for grooming. GROOMING?! Now?
People on Kuma were not happy. —TonyZuccarino
